A Living Sacrifice – Today’s
Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Our lives are to be a living sacrifice. Everything we do is to bring glory to You, and everything we say is to bring honor to You. But the path of sacrifice is a steep one, and the pull of our own desires can be a powerful force. But unless we’re living a sacrificial life, our focus will be on ourselves, and that will always get in the way.
It’s will be easier to be selfish than to be selfless.
It’s will be easier to hold onto our anger than to walk in humility.
It’s will be easier to lose our temper than to be patient.
It’s will be easier to speak our minds than to hold our tongues.
But we’re not choosing an easy life, Lord. We’re choosing to love.
We ask that You grant us the strength to remain steadfast in our devotion, to bear the weight of our crosses, and to follow Your will, no matter the cost. For we are Your servants, and in Your grace, we shall both find the strength to live a life worthy of Your glory together.
In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
