A Marriage That Trusts God’s Timing

A Marriage That Trusts God’s Timing — Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear heavenly Father,

We come before You with hearts that often want answers right away. We feel the weight of waiting—in decisions, in change, in growth—and sometimes we grow restless when things don’t move as quickly as we hope.

Teach us to trust Your timing.

Help us to remember that You are never late, never uncertain, and never rushed. You see what we cannot see, and You are working in ways we may not yet understand. When we are tempted to take matters into our own hands, draw us back to a place of quiet confidence in You.

Give us patience with each other as we wait.

When one of us feels ready and the other does not, help us to respond with grace instead of pressure. Guard us from frustration that leads to tension, and instead grow in us a steady trust that rests in Your plan.

Lord, shape our hearts so that we are willing to wait on You together.

Let our marriage be marked by faith—not just in the moments when everything is clear, but especially when it isn’t. Teach us to keep walking forward in obedience, trusting that You are guiding each step.

Draw us closer to Christ, where we find peace in surrender and strength in waiting. May our home reflect a quiet assurance that You are at work, even in the unseen moments.

We place our trust in You.

In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. — Ecclesiastes 3:11, KJV

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. Ecclesiastes 3:11, NIV
