A Testimony of Our Faith – Today’s
Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
We pray that by Your grace, our marriage would glorify You and that our covenant would reflect the covenant of those who believe in Your son, Jesus Christ.
Your word says that husbands are to love their wives as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for it and that a wife should submit to her husband as unto the Lord. Loving is easy until it requires us to lay down our lives, and so we pray that You would give us strength as we submit to Your will.
Let our marriage be a testimony of our faith. Not just one that merely testifies of our love, but one that glorifies Yours.
In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
