Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
You’ve given us amazing opportunities in this life. To show Your love and to share the good news of Your saving grace. Please bless our marriage as we grow toward Christ-centered unity.
May we always hunger and thirst for Your Word. And may Your Word be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.
If one should stumble, let the other be there to help. And if one of us is weak may the other offer prayer and support. As iron sharpens iron, help us to influence each other and to hold tightly to faith, hope, and love.
In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Today’s Bible Verse
Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. – Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. – Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
