Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for this home and everything in it. It’s comfortable. It’s unique. It’s a place that reflects our personality, unlike any other place on this earth.
There’s something about our own bed, our own kitchen, our own couch… that brings comfort to us. It’s a gift that keeps giving day after day.
Thank you for the talents and the strengths we each bring to our home. Help us to use them together to wisely take care of the things You have blessed us with. May we strive to live in an atmosphere of love and support for each other.
May we take joy in serving, even if serving calls us to undesirable tasks. May we work without grumbling, help without complaint, and step up to our jobs before things fall apart.
Finally, help us to exercise grace when it comes to our expectations. We are married to someone who deserves our patient love and respect.
In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
