The Precious Gift Of Our Children — Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the precious gift of our children and for entrusting us with the responsibility of raising them in Your truth. We recognize that this calling is too great for us to bear alone, so we come before You, asking for unity, wisdom, and grace as we lead our family together.
Lord, help us to be a strong team—one in heart, one in purpose, and one in our love for You. When challenges arise, remind us to lean on each other instead of pulling apart. When our perspectives differ, help us to listen with patience and to seek understanding rather than insisting on our own way. Give us the humility to admit when we are wrong and the grace to forgive quickly.
May our children see in us a partnership built on love, respect, and faithfulness. Let our words and actions reflect Your goodness, teaching them not only through instruction but by example. As Deuteronomy 6:6-7 reminds us, let Your commandments be written on our hearts so that we may diligently teach them—when we sit at home, when we walk along the road, when we lie down, and when we get up.
Fill our home with Your peace, Lord, and strengthen our bond as parents so that we may guide our children with wisdom, lead them with love, and always point them back to You.
