Choosing Honesty and Trust - Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
Trust is something we build day by day—in the little moments, the honest words, the gentle truths. And while it’s not always easy to be fully open, we know that real closeness comes from being real with each other.
Help us to be truthful in love. Not harsh, not guarded, but honest in a way that draws us closer. We ask that You give us the courage to speak when something’s weighing on our hearts, and the grace to listen when our spouse needs to be heard.
When trust has been shaken—by stress, silence, or mistakes—help us rebuild slowly and steadily. Let our words be dependable, our hearts be open, and our intentions be pure.
Teach us that honesty isn’t just about facts—it’s about showing up as we are, with nothing to hide and everything to give.
Let our marriage be a safe place where truth is welcome and trust can grow.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
