Keeping Our Hearts Soft - Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
It’s easy to let little things harden our hearts—disappointments, repeated stress, words that hit the wrong way. Sometimes, without even realizing it, we start to build walls instead of bridges.
But You’re a God who softens stone into flesh. So we’re asking You to do that in us today.
Keep our hearts soft toward each other. Help us not to grow numb or distant, but to stay tender and open. Teach us to notice when we’re pulling away—and give us the humility to turn back.
Let us respond with kindness when it would be easier to react with frustration. Let compassion guide our words, and grace shape our tone.
We don’t want to just love each other out of habit—we want to love each other with fresh, soft hearts that reflect Yours.
