Being a Safe Place for Each Other - Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of this marriage, and for the sacred space we share together. In a world that can feel overwhelming and unkind, let our home be a place of peace. A place where we both feel safe—seen, heard, and loved without fear.
Teach us to be gentle with each other’s hearts. Help us to listen more than we speak. To care more than we criticize. To cover each other’s weaknesses with grace. Let our marriage be the one place we never have to pretend.
When one of us is hurting, help the other to notice. When one is anxious, help the other speak calm. May we be quick to forgive, quick to comfort, and always ready to show kindness.
Most of all, remind us daily that love isn’t just something we feel—it’s something we choose. And when we choose to love like You do, our hearts become a shelter, not just for each other, but for Your presence too.
