Because Joy is a Gift From You - Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
Thank You for laughter. For inside jokes and quiet smiles. For that look across the room that only we understand. Thank You for the light moments that remind us not to take life—or ourselves—too seriously.
In the middle of grown-up responsibilities and endless to-dos, help us not to lose the simple joy that first drew us together. Teach us to enjoy out time together. To imagine again. To find wonder in the ordinary. Because joy, like love, is a gift from You—and we don’t want to miss it.
Help us rediscover the fun in our friendship. Show us how to surprise each other with kindness. Let us sing loud in the kitchen, dance in the living room, and chase each other through a world that so often forgets how beautiful marriage can be.
Let our laughter be healing. Let it soften hard days. Let it echo through our home as an anthem—a reminder that joy belongs here.
