Teach Us to Guard What You’ve Entrusted to Us — Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
We thank You for entrusting us with the gift of marriage—a sacred relationship shaped by Your wisdom and sustained by Your grace. We ask that You teach us to guard what You’ve given. When distractions rise or pressures surround us, remind us to protect our unity with care, humility, and truth.
Help us recognize the subtle things that can weaken love: hurried words, neglected time, unresolved tension, or thoughts left unexamined. We ask that You give us discernment to notice these things early and the humility to respond with grace rather than defensiveness.
Lord, teach us to guard our hearts so they remain tender, patient, and rooted in Your Word. Let our choices reflect the value You place on faithfulness. Help us preserve what honors You—peace, sincerity, forgiveness, and steady devotion.
We ask that You strengthen our commitment to nurture what You’ve entrusted to us, so our marriage reflects the beauty of Your care and the power of Your sustaining love.
