Teach Us To Find Contentment — Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You, Lord, for the gift of marriage and the countless blessings You’ve poured into our lives—some we see clearly, and others we’re only beginning to notice. In a world that constantly pushes us to want more, buy more, and be more, help us slow down and truly see the richness we already have—in You, and in each other.
Teach us to find contentment not in what’s missing, but in the love that anchors us, the peace that quiets our hearts, and the grace that carries us through each day. Remind us that real joy doesn’t come from stuff or circumstances—it comes from a thankful heart grounded in Your truth.
When we find ourselves restless or discouraged, stir within us a spirit of gratitude. Help us build each other up in simplicity, patience, and trust. Let our home be a place where contentment is lived out loud—a place where we value what we have, instead of striving after what we don’t.
Thank You for giving us strength for every season—whether it’s full or lean, easy or difficult. Keep us walking together in step with You, deeply satisfied by Your presence and steady in Your purpose for our marriage.
