Take Every Thought Captive — Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
In the quiet moments and in the chaos, help us to guard our minds and take every thought captive to make it obedient to Christ.
When our thoughts begin to drift into fear, frustration, or assumptions, gently pull us back to truth. Teach us to pause before we speak and to measure our words with wisdom. Help us to choose kindness over criticism, patience over irritation, and love over resentment.
Lord, protect our marriage from the lies that try to divide us. Strengthen us to fight not against each other, but alongside one another—standing firm in Your Word and rooted in Your peace.
Remind us that our battle isn’t against flesh and blood but against the things that seek to pull us away from unity and grace. Teach us to think on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and praiseworthy—especially when it comes to how we see each other.
Let our minds be a place where love grows and faith is nourished. And when we fall short, give us the humility to admit it and the grace to try again.
