Help Us Guard Our Hearts And Minds — Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of marriage and the blessing of doing life side by side. In a world filled with distractions and discouragement, help us guard our hearts and minds so that our thoughts reflect what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable.
When negative thoughts creep in—about ourselves, each other, or our circumstances—remind us to bring them captive to Christ. Teach us to focus on what is good, to speak with kindness, and to see one another through the lens of grace. May we be quick to believe the best, to forgive freely, and to dwell on the truth of Your Word.
Let our home be a place where peace guards our hearts and where love leads our words. Strengthen our minds to resist comparison, criticism, and doubt. Instead, fill us with thoughts that encourage, uplift, and point us back to You.
May our marriage reflect Philippians 4:8 in every season—choosing daily to think on things that bring You glory and draw us closer to each other.
