Joy That Is Contagious — Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of laughter. For moments when joy bubbles up unexpectedly and reminds us that even in the midst of trials, we can still smile together. Help us, Lord, to nurture a cheerful heart in our marriage—not by ignoring life’s challenges, but by facing them with genuine faith, and an assurance that You are in control.
Help us find joy in the little things—a shared joke, a warm smile, a memory that makes us laugh until we cry.
Remind us that laughter doesn’t mean everything is perfect—it means we’re choosing to celebrate life as it is, together. Soften our hearts toward one another, especially when frustration tries to take root. Replace tension with tenderness and criticism with kindness.
May our home be filled with the kind of joy that comes from knowing You. May our marriage reflect the truth that a cheerful heart is good medicine, and may that joy be contagious to everyone around us.
