The Beauty in our Everyday Routine — Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Sometimes the days all blur together. Dishes, laundry, emails, errands—one after the next. It’s easy to feel like we’re just going through the motions, like the real excitement of life is somewhere else.
But You’re here, too. You’re in the small things—the ordinary Saturday mornings, the quiet dinners, the shared glances across a messy room. Remind us that joy doesn’t always come wrapped in fireworks. Sometimes it shows up in a warm cup of coffee or the sound of our spouse’s laugh.
Help us to slow down enough to notice the beauty in our everyday routine. Let us find contentment in simplicity, and laughter in the middle of chores. May we serve each other with gladness, even when it feels repetitive, and may we find deeper connection as we do life together—day in and day out.
Thank You for steady love. Thank You for normal days. Help us see them as a gift.
