Soft Hearts and Willing Spirits — Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Some days it feels easy to love each other—like we’re in sync and nothing can shake us. Other days, it’s a little harder. Life gets busy, misunderstandings happen, and we drift without even realizing it. That’s why we’re asking for Your help to come back—again and again—with soft hearts and willing spirits.
Teach us to renew our commitment every day, not just in the big moments, but in the little ones too. Help us choose each other with patience, with grace, and with purpose. Remind us that love is more than a feeling—it’s a decision, a posture of the heart that mirrors Your love for us.
Give us eyes to see the good in each other, even when we’re tired or frustrated. Help us speak kindly, listen carefully, and forgive quickly. And when we fall short, give us the humility to say, “I was wrong,” and the strength to start fresh.
Thank You for this gift of marriage—for the joy, the challenges, and the growth it brings. May we never take it for granted. Keep drawing us closer to You and to each other, one day at a time.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
