Thoughts That Are Pure Noble and True — Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of this marriage—for the love we share, the laughter we enjoy, and even the challenges that have helped us grow. We don’t take it lightly, Lord. We know the enemy would love nothing more than to pull us apart, to distract us, and to chip away at the trust we’ve built. But today, we’re asking You to help us stand guard.
Help us to be mindful of the little things—the conversations, the glances, the compromises—that could open the door to temptation. Strengthen our hearts to honor You and each other, even when no one’s watching. Remind us that every choice we make is building something: either walls that protect or cracks that weaken.
Teach us to run from temptation and to run toward each other instead. Fill our minds with thoughts that are pure, noble, and true. And when we feel weak, give us the courage to reach out—for Your help, and for each other’s hand.
Above all, keep us close to You, because we know that when we’re close to You, we’re closer to each other too.
