You Are The God Who Heals — Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
You know our hearts better than anyone. You see the wounds we carry—some from long ago, and some we may have caused each other along the way. Sometimes we try to move forward, but the weight of the past slows us down. The memories, the regrets, the pain—it all has a way of creeping in.
But we know You are the God who heals. So today, we invite You into those broken places. We don’t want to pretend they’re not there. We want You to bring true healing—not just covering things up, but renewing us from the inside out.
Help us to forgive—really forgive. Help us let go of bitterness, soften our hearts, and see each other through Your eyes. Teach us how to talk with gentleness, how to listen with compassion, and how to love with understanding.
Give us the courage to be vulnerable again. The strength to trust again. And the hope that what’s ahead can be better than what’s behind.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
