To be a people of gratitude

To Be A People Of Gratitude — Today's Marriage Prayer

Dear heavenly Father,

Sometimes in the busyness of life, it’s easy to forget how much we’ve been blessed. Help us to slow down and notice the little things—the kind gestures, the quiet sacrifices, the everyday moments that often go unspoken.

Teach us to be people of gratitude, not just in our hearts but with our words. Remind us to say “thank you” more often, to speak encouragement, and to affirm each other in love. Let our home be a place where appreciation flows freely, where no act of kindness goes unnoticed, and where honor and respect are part of our daily rhythm.

Lord, protect us from taking each other for granted. Open our eyes to see the good in one another, and give us the humility to acknowledge it with joy. May our words build up, not tear down. May they reflect the grace You’ve shown us.

Help us to grow in love—not just by what we do, but by how we speak life into this marriage You’ve given us.

In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. Proverbs 16:24, KJV
