Love Always Has the Final Word — Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
We know that even the strongest relationships face disagreements, but we don’t want conflict to define us. We want to be a couple who fights for each other, not against each other.
Help us to pause in the middle of tension and remember that we’re on the same team. When emotions run high, teach us to listen with open hearts and speak with kindness and patience. Soften our pride, Lord, and remind us that humility opens the door to healing.
Give us wisdom to know when to speak and when to be still. And when we fall short—because we will—help us to forgive quickly and completely, just as You forgive us.
Above all, may our disagreements lead us closer to You and to each other. Let our home be a place where peace takes root, where grace flows freely, and where love always has the final word.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry. — James 1:19, NIV
