Serving One Another - Today's Marriage Prayers
Dear heavenly Father,
Thank You for the freedom we have in Christ. You’ve released us from the chains of selfishness and sin so that we can walk in love—serving one another with glad and willing hearts. We ask that You would shape our marriage into a reflection of that kind of love: selfless, generous, and rooted in grace.
So often, the demands of daily life distract us from each other. We forget how powerful the little things can be—a kind word, a thoughtful gesture, a quiet act of service. Help us to see those moments as opportunities to bless our spouse, even when no one else sees.
Teach us to lay down pride, to let go of keeping score, and to choose humility when it’s hard. Let our hearts be soft toward one another, quick to lend a hand and eager to meet each other’s needs.
Lord, let the way we serve each other in our marriage be a testimony of Your love. May our actions speak louder than words, and may every act of kindness we offer reflect Your goodness to a watching world.
Help us to honor You not only with what we say, but in how we give, how we listen, how we support, and how we love.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
Today’s Bible Verse
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. — Galatians 5:13, KJV
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. — Galatians 5:13, NIV
