When Life Feels Overwhelming - Today's Marriage Prayers
Dear heavenly Father,
Thank You for being our refuge and strength, especially in the moments when life feels overwhelming. You see the pressures we carry—the financial strain, the work demands, the family responsibilities—and You offer us something this world cannot: perfect peace.
When stress begins to wedge itself between us, help us to run to You instead of running apart. Calm our hearts, slow our breathing, and help us listen more than we speak. Let us be a source of comfort to each other rather than another burden to bear.
Give us the wisdom to step back when tempers rise and the courage to pray together when tension threatens our connection. Teach us how to speak life when we’re weary, how to extend grace when we’re frustrated, and how to cling to one another instead of letting the day pull us in different directions.
We pray that Your peace would guard our home like a shield—that even in a storm, we would be steady, because our eyes are on You.
