Growing Together in Faith - Today's Marriage Prayers
Dear heavenly Father,
We thank You for the foundation of our marriage—but we don’t want to stay where we are. We want to grow. We want our faith to deepen, our roots to strengthen, and our hearts to become more aligned with Yours.
Teach us what it means to walk with You as a couple—not just individually, but hand in hand. Help us to pray together more often, to open Your Word with curiosity and hunger, and to build rhythms that draw us closer to You and to each other.
When one of us feels weak in faith, let the other be strong. When distractions pull at our time, give us discipline. And when life feels routine, remind us that spiritual growth doesn’t always feel exciting—it’s steady, faithful, and rich in reward.
Let us be a couple known not just for love, but for faithfulness to You. May we be rooted and built up in Christ—firm, unshakable, and always abounding in thanksgiving.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
Today’s Bible Verse
As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. — Colossians 2:6–7, KJV
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. — Colossians 2:6–7, NIV
