To guard our eyes and our minds

To Guard Our Eyes and Our Minds - Today's Marriage Prayers

Dear heavenly Father,

In a world that often celebrates whatever feels good in the moment, You call us to something so much deeper—purity, faithfulness, and a love that reflects Yours. And while it isn’t always easy, we want to live that out—not just with our actions, but in our thoughts, our words, and the way we care for each other’s hearts.

Help us to guard our eyes and our minds. Help us to be honest with each other and with You. If anything has slipped into our lives that doesn’t belong—whether it’s what we watch, who we follow, or how we spend our time—we ask that You show us, and give us the strength to let it go.

We want to honor You in how we love each other. Teach us to build trust daily, to be careful with each other’s vulnerabilities, and to fight for purity not just as individuals, but as one flesh.

Thank You for Your grace. Thank You for being patient with us as we grow. Keep drawing us closer to You—and in doing so, closer to each other.

In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.2 Timothy 2:22, NIV
