Being Still Together Before the Lord — Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
Father God,
Your Word says, “Be still, and know that I am God.” In the middle of busy days and constant demands, we come before You, asking for a quietness of heart in our marriage.
Teach us to be still.
When life feels hurried, slow us down. When our thoughts feel scattered, bring them back to You. Help us create space—not just in our schedules, but in our hearts—to rest in Your presence.
Lord, in moments of tension, remind us to pause before we speak. In moments of stress, help us turn to You instead of reacting quickly. Let stillness become a place where wisdom begins.
Draw us closer to You, and in doing so, draw us closer to each other. Let our home be marked not only by activity, but by a quiet awareness of Your presence.
Father, help us rest in the truth that You are God—that You are in control, that You are faithful, and that You are at work in our lives. Let that truth calm our fears and steady our hearts.
Teach us to step back from the noise and find peace in You, together.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
