Called With A Holy Calling – Today’s Marriage Prayer

Join Our Current Bible Study

Ruth: Echoes of Christ, Our Kinsman Redeemer

Over the course of four weeks beginning Tuesday, February 20th, join me as we explore the profound significance of the unknown kinsman, uncover the rich symbolism of his shoe, and connect the dots to the Ten Commandments.

We’ll look back at the lives of Biblical characters like Lot, Perez, Judah, and Tamar, seeking to understand their roles in God’s story. Questions like ‘Where does Naomi fit into all this?’ and ‘Why is the timing of these events so crucial?’ will guide our exploration, as we uncover the beauty and depth of these Biblical narratives.

Karissa is also back to bless us each week with her insightful videos. If you would like more information on our study, visit our website.

Called With A Holy Calling

Called With A Holy Calling –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today with hearts full of gratitude and awe, recognizing the holy calling You have placed upon our marriage. You, who formed the universe and set the stars in their courses, have also lovingly crafted this marriage between us, calling us to reflect Your love and faithfulness, and to be conformed to the image of Your Son.

We stand before You today in hope. Not because of our own wisdom or righteousness, but because of Your love, because You determined that Your Son would be a holy sacrifice on our behalf, and that we ourselves would be crucified to this world. May we always understand who we were, and who we are now because of Your mercy and grace.

May our love for each other be a testament to Your grace, mirroring the selfless love of Christ. Help us to support, cherish, and honor one another, not merely as partners, but as co-heirs of the grace of life.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began. – 2 Timothy 1:9, KJV

He has saved us and called us to a holy life — not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time. – 2 Timothy 1:9, NIV
