Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Help us to humble ourselves so that we may accept each other just as we are. Guide us to embrace the unique qualities and differences in each other, celebrating the beauty of Your diverse creation rather than trying to change one another.
Remind us daily that love can be communicated in many different ways. Though we may not speak the same love language, help us to recognize and appreciate the various expressions of love that we each offer. Open our eyes to see the small acts of kindness, the thoughtful gestures, and the quiet sacrifices made in love.
We understand that being critical can wound deeply, while words of encouragement can nurture and inspire growth. Teach us to discern the difference between the two. Fill our hearts with a spirit of grace and understanding so that we may choose our words wisely, seeking always to build up rather than to tear down.
May our interactions reflect Your love and patience, and may our relationship be a testament to Your transforming power. Help us to honor and uplift one another, aiming for the best in our marriage as we journey together in faith.
