Clothe Us With Christlike Character — Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
We thank You for the new life we have in Christ and for the call to reflect His character in all we do. Your Word tells us to clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. We ask that You form these qualities within our marriage. When our reactions are quick or our tone grows sharp, remind us to pause and put on what honors You. Help us choose responses that reflect Your heart—showing care instead of indifference, patience instead of irritation, and humility instead of self-focus. Shape our attitudes so that what flows from us strengthens love and builds trust. Teach us to recognize the moments where we need to lay aside what is unhelpful and intentionally walk in the character You are forming within us.
Lord, let these virtues become a daily practice in our home. Help us reflect Christ not only in what we say, but in how we live alongside one another. We ask that You strengthen our marriage through these qualities so our love grows deeper, steadier, and more aligned with Your will.
