Encouragement Can Come In Many Forms –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

You’ve given us each other as a source of strength, comfort, and joy — but Lord, we know that life has its challenges. Sometimes we carry heavy burdens that we don’t share with anyone else. Sometimes we get tired, worn out, or discouraged by the weight of our responsibilities. And so today, we come before You, asking for hearts that are quick to encourage.

Help us to build each other up, Lord, not just with words, but with our actions too. Let our love be a reflection of Your grace — patient, kind, and full of hope. Remind us that encouragement can come in many forms: a listening ear when the day feels long, a prayer whispered over worries, or even a simple “I’m proud of you” when our spouse needs to hear it most.

Father, we ask for wisdom to speak words that breathe life into our marriage. When we see our spouse struggling, give us the courage to offer support. When they feel unsure, help us point them back to Your promises. And when they’re walking in faith, let us be their biggest cheerleader, celebrating their growth and rejoicing in every step they take with You.

May our words never tear down, but always build up. May our actions reflect Your love. And may our marriage be a testimony of two people who continually encourage each other to draw closer to You.

Thank You for the ways You’ve encouraged us through Your Word, Your Spirit, and Your love.
