Dear heavenly Father,

Today we come before You with a simple but important request—teach us to lift up the name of Jesus above our own preferences, our own pride, and our own need to be right.

Your Word tells us that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Help that confession begin in our home. Let our words, our attitudes, and our decisions reflect that Christ truly is Lord over our marriage.

When selfish ambition tries to take root, humble us. When pride whispers that we deserve more, remind us that our greatest calling is to honor You. Teach us to lay down our rights for the sake of unity. Shape us into a husband and wife who care more about glorifying Christ than winning arguments or protecting ego.

Lord, let the name of Jesus be spoken often in our conversations—not only in prayer, but in the way we seek His example. May His humility guide our responses. May His obedience inspire our faithfulness. May His love set the standard for how we treat one another.

Guard our marriage from becoming centered on comfort or control. Instead, center it firmly on Christ. Let our home be a place where He is acknowledged, trusted, and honored.

We ask that our relationship would point beyond itself—to the glory of God the Father.
