Finishing Well Together — Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
Thank You for bringing us this far. Every year, every season, every shared memory is evidence of Your sustaining grace. Today we ask You not only to help us begin well, but to finish well.
Keep our love from growing casual with time. As years pass and familiarity deepens, protect us from neglecting the care and attention that first drew us close. Renew affection. Stir intentional kindness. Let our commitment mature, not weaken.
Lord, help us grow forward together. Do not allow one of us to drift spiritually while the other presses on. Shape us into a couple who continues to seek You, learn, repent, and grow — even in later seasons of life.
When challenges come with age — physical weakness, changing roles, unexpected losses — steady us. Let endurance mark our marriage. Teach us to adapt with grace and to face transitions side by side.
Father, may our later years reflect deeper humility, richer understanding, and stronger faith than our early ones. Let our love be marked by patience refined over time and trust proven through years of walking together.
We ask that our marriage would stand as a testimony — not of perfection, but of perseverance and Your faithful hand upon us.
Carry us all the way to the end, and let us finish this race together.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
