Focus On The Things That Truly Matter

Focus On The Things That Truly Matter – Today’s Marriage Prayer

I’m using the next month to get our next Bible Study done. In the meantime, I redid one of our older studies The Full Armor Of God. I added more content, better graphics, and thought provoking questions. I won’t be going through this one with you as I want to focus on the new study, but if you are looking for a study to work on during my break, it will keep you busy.

It’s available for free in the members only section of the blog. If you are a subscriber, you can find the link to it at the bottom of the emails you have received.

It’s also available at Amazon. Click here if you would prefer to pick up a copy.

Focus On The Things That Truly Matter –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

As we come before You today, we pray that You would help us to stay focused on the things that truly matter. We know that it is easy to get caught up in the material possessions and fleeting pleasures of this world, but we want to seek and prioritize the things that are eternal.

We pray that You would give us the strength and wisdom to set our hearts and minds on things above, and not on the things of this earth. Help us to put our trust in You and the plans You have for us, rather than seeking satisfaction in earthly things.

We pray that our love for each other and for You would be a guiding force in our lives and that it would strengthen us against the temptation to love the things of this world more than we love You.
Thank You for the blessings You have given us and the love You have shown us through your Son, Jesus.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy. But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD. – Jonah 2:8-9, KJV

Those who cling to worthless idols turn away from God’s love for them. But I, with shouts of grateful praise, will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed I will make good. I will say, ‘Salvation comes from the Lord. – Jonah 2:8-9, NIV
