For Your Protection Over Our Marriage –
Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
As we come before you today, we humbly ask for your protection over our marriage. We know that our love for each other is a precious gift from you, and we are grateful for the ways that you have brought us together.
But we also know that there are many outside influences that can threaten our relationship. We ask that you would shield us from any negative thoughts, temptations, or harmful situations that may come our way.
Please give us the strength and wisdom to recognize any dangers that may be lurking around us, and the courage to stand up against them. Help us to remain faithful to each other, and to always treat each other with love, respect, and kindness.
Above all, we pray that our marriage would be a shining example of your love for us. May others see the way that we love and care for each other, and be drawn closer to you as a result.
In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Today’s Bible Verse
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. – 1 Peter 5:8-9, KJV
____________________________
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. – 1 Peter 5:8-9, NIV
