Form Humility Within Us — Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
We thank You for the humility Christ displayed—willing to serve, willing to listen, willing to love without seeking recognition. We ask that You form that same humility within us. When pride pushes for the final word or insists on being right, teach us to soften our hearts and seek understanding instead.
Let humility shape the way we speak—
with gentleness,
with honesty,
with a desire to build rather than to win.
Lord, remind us that humility is not weakness but strength under Your guidance. It opens the door to reconciliation, deepens trust, and makes room for grace to flourish. Help us put one another’s needs above our own, not out of obligation, but out of love shaped by Your Spirit.
We ask that humility take root in our marriage, creating a foundation where peace grows, forgiveness comes more easily, and unity becomes our daily pursuit.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
