Form Patience Within Us — Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
We thank You for the patience You show toward us—steadfast, gentle, and full of mercy. We ask that You form that same patience within us. When frustration rises or understanding comes slowly, teach us to pause, breathe, and respond with the calm that reflects Your heart.
Shape patience in us through small, ordinary moments—
when we wait,
when we listen,
when we choose grace instead of haste.
Lord, help us recognize that patience is not weakness, but strength shaped by Your Spirit. It steadies our words, softens our reactions, and opens the door to deeper love. Let patience guide how we speak to one another and how we care for one another, especially on the days when we feel stretched thin.
We ask that this patience take root in our hearts so our marriage reflects the enduring love You extend to us daily.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
