Fortify the Bond That’s Between Us – Today’s Marriage Prayer

Join Our Upcoming Bible Study

Get ready to join us for our next Bible study:
Jonah: The Inescapable Love of God.

This new study will kick off on October 9th and will continue for five weeks. To prepare your hearts, I encourage you to pick up a copy of the journal on Amazon. It’s a story that will challenge us to face our own reluctances and embrace the overwhelming, relentless love God has for each and every one of us.

Karissa will be back to bless us with her insightful videos. Together, we look forward to a deep dive into God’s Word and fostering an even closer fellowship among us all. Your participation has been the heartbeat of this group, and I can’t wait to see how God uses our collective thirst for wisdom to draw us nearer to Him and to one another.

Fortify the Bond That's Between Us

Fortify the Bond That’s Between Us –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

Like watchmen looking out from the city walls, we ask that You train us to diligently watch over our marriage and to keep it from harm.

Any number of things can tear away at the very fabric of our marriage if we let them. Temptation, anxiety, wrath, lust, unforgiveness, and pride are just some of the ways that sin may find its way in. Like a hungry lion searching for prey, satan wants to destroy our marriage and pull us apart.

We don’t know when, or with what we’ll be tempted, but we do know that the deceiver is lurking about. Make us ready, Lord, whatever may come. Give us the strength to resist temptation and to cast sin aside.

By Your grace we ask that You strengthen the walls that surround us, fortify the bond that’s between us, and help us to build a strong fortress of faith.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. – 1 Peter 5:8-9, KJV

______________________________________

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. – 1 Peter 5:8-9, NIV
