Guarding Our Marriage From Outside Influence — Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
Thank You for the covenant You have entrusted to us. In a culture full of opinions, pressures, and competing voices, we ask You to help us guard what You have joined together.
Protect our marriage from outside influence that weakens trust or stirs unnecessary doubt. Give us discernment about what we allow into our minds — through conversations, media, comparison, and counsel. Help us weigh everything against Your Word.
Lord, keep us united in how we respond to outside pressures. When others offer advice, give us wisdom to receive what is helpful and release what is not. When criticism comes, steady us. When praise comes, keep us humble.
Guard our loyalty. Do not allow emotional distance to open doors that should remain closed. Strengthen the bond between us so that we turn toward one another rather than outward for validation or comfort.
Father, establish clear boundaries that protect unity and trust. Let our commitment be visible in how we speak about one another and how we handle conflict.
Above all, let Christ remain the center of our marriage. When our foundation is secure in You, outside influence loses its power.
We place our relationship under Your covering and ask You to keep it steady, protected, and grounded in truth.
