Healing What Still Hurts - Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
Every marriage carries its share of wounds—some old, some fresh, some we didn’t even realize we were still holding onto. And sometimes those hurts, if left alone, can quietly shape the way we speak, respond, and relate to each other.
But You are the Healer. You don’t just cover pain with time—You reach in with grace and begin to restore what was broken.
Help us to be honest about the things that still sting. Give us courage to talk about what’s been buried, and compassion to listen when those things come to the surface.
Let forgiveness flow freely, not as a one-time event but as an ongoing choice. And if trust has been damaged, teach us how to rebuild—patiently, prayerfully, and with care.
Bind up the wounds we’ve been carrying, Lord. Heal what still hurts. And in those very places, let something beautiful grow.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
