In the Everyday Moments - Today's Marriage Prayers
Dear heavenly Father,
Sometimes the pace of life and the weight of responsibilities make us short with one another. We speak too quickly, assume the worst, or forget that the person we vowed to love is also human and in need of grace. Today we ask You to grow our patience—not just in the big things, but in the everyday moments too.
Help us to respond with kindness instead of irritation, with grace instead of criticism. Let us be slow to anger and quick to understand. When one of us is struggling or weary, give the other strength and compassion to carry the load with love.
Teach us how to bear with one another—not just tolerate, but truly love in the waiting, the repeating, and the refining. Remind us that patience isn’t weakness—it’s strength under control. It’s love in action.
Lord, clothe us with humility, gentleness, and longsuffering. Let our home be a place where patience thrives and love is safe.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
Today’s Bible Verse
With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love. — Ephesians 4:2, KJV
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. — Ephesians 4:2, NIV
