In The Hands Of The Potter – Today’s Marriage Prayer

Join Our Current Bible Study

Ruth: Echoes of Christ, Our Kinsman Redeemer

Over the course of four weeks beginning Tuesday, February 20th, join me as we explore the profound significance of the unknown kinsman, uncover the rich symbolism of his shoe, and connect the dots to the Ten Commandments.

We’ll look back at the lives of Biblical characters like Lot, Perez, Judah, and Tamar, seeking to understand their roles in God’s story. Questions like ‘Where does Naomi fit into all this?’ and ‘Why is the timing of these events so crucial?’ will guide our exploration, as we uncover the beauty and depth of these Biblical narratives.

Karissa is also back to bless us each week with her insightful videos. If you would like more information on our study, visit our website.

In The Hands Of The Potter

In The Hands Of The Potter –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

We’ve experienced trials and we’ve been through storms. We’ve felt both disappointment and the pain of loss. We’ve been through dark times of discouragement, and in each one of those times, Your light has shone brightly.

Sometimes difficult times that bring the most pain are the very thing You’re using for good. We don’t need to understand, we just need to know that You are fully in control and that You want the very best for us. And so, Lord, we thank You for Your strength. We thank You for Your patience as we’re learning to lean on you.

May our greatest trials be the soil into which our blessings are planted. Teach us to trust in Your wisdom. Help us find peace in the eye of the storm.

Before You work through us, You must work within us, and so we submit ourselves to You. As clay in the hands of a Potter may we be molded and made, fashioned and formed, created and cast, according to Your almighty wisdom and power.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

Then I went down to the potter’s house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it. – Jeremiah 18:3-4, KJV

So I went down to the potter’s house, and I saw him working at the wheel. But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him. – Jeremiah 18:3-4, NIV
