Letting Love Lead - Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
We thank You for showing us what true love looks like through the life of Your Son, Jesus Christ. We ask that You help us to let that kind of love lead our marriage—a love that is patient, humble, and willing to serve.
When selfishness rises or pride takes hold, remind us that love is not about winning but about giving. Teach us to yield our rights when doing so brings peace, to speak truth kindly, and to choose grace when we feel wronged. We ask that You help us to lead with love even when emotions are weak or understanding feels far away.
Lord, we know that love is the foundation of all You’ve called us to be. Strengthen us to practice it daily—in how we speak, forgive, and care for one another. May our love not grow cold, but deepen as we walk together in faith.
We ask that You make our marriage a reflection of Christ’s heart—a love that covers faults, restores hope, and endures every season.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
