Living With Eternity in View - Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
Life here on earth feels fleeting. The days slip by so quickly, and sometimes we find ourselves caught up in the temporary things—our to-do lists, our worries, our frustrations. But You’ve called us to something greater.
Remind us that our marriage is not only for here and now, but also part of a bigger story—one that points to eternity with You. Help us to love each other in a way that reflects heaven’s values: with patience, with grace, with forgiveness that mirrors Your own.
When challenges arise, give us the courage to look beyond the moment and to see each trial as shaping us for glory. When joy fills our hearts, help us to see it as a foretaste of the joy that awaits in Your presence.
Lord, let our love be a testimony—not just to our children, family, and friends—but to anyone who looks on and sees Your hand in our lives. May our marriage whisper of the eternal hope we hold in You.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. — 2 Corinthians 4:18, NIV
