May Kindness Take The Lead — Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
Sometimes we get caught up in the day-to-day. We rush through conversations, brush past each other in the kitchen, and forget to pause long enough to really see one another. So today we’re asking for patience—not just for life in general, but for each other.
Teach us to slow down in the moments that matter. Help us to hold our tongues when we’re tempted to snap, and to offer grace when we feel like being short. When we’re tired or worn thin, remind us that our words still matter, and our tone still speaks volumes.
Help us be quick to listen, slow to speak, and gentle in our responses. Let kindness take the lead in our marriage, especially when emotions are high. Show us how to meet frustration with understanding, and stress with support.
You’ve been so patient with us. Help us reflect that same love to each other.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
