May We Live Beyond Ourselves – Today’s Marriage Prayer

We Are Currently Underway On Our New Study:
Jacob: Pursuing God With Steadfast Faith & Unyielding Courage

This new study will continue until August 20th. If you would like to join us, I encourage you to pick up a copy of the journal on Amazon. As we go through Jacob’s life story, chapter by chapter, we’ll see God’s plan of salvation, Christ’s work on the cross, and lessons rich in life application.

Karissa is back to bless us with her insightful videos. Together, we’re taking a deep dive into God’s Word and fostering an even closer fellowship among us all. If you’re not already taking part, I do hope you’ll consider joining us!

May We Live Beyond Ourselves

May We Live Beyond Ourselves –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

Please teach us to love and to serve those you have put in our lives without hesitating. Help us to continue to grow in the likeness of Jesus Who came to serve rather than to be served.

May we live beyond ourselves, serving and loving each other without keeping score—giving to others without the hope of acclamation or expectation of return. When we give to others without expecting anything in return, we open ourselves up to the beauty of serving.

We ask that You grant us the courage and strength to serve and love with abandon. Help us to see the beauty in serving. Allow us to be Your hands and Your feet in this world.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. – Philippians 2:4-8, KJV

Not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross! – Philippians 2:4-8, NIV
