Purify Our Motives - Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
We thank You for seeing beyond our words and actions, into the very motives of our hearts. We ask that You purify our intentions within our marriage. Remove any desire for control, recognition, or self-gain, and replace it with a longing to honor You above all.
Teach us to love without hidden agendas, to serve without seeking reward, and to give without keeping score. When pride distorts our motives or selfishness creeps in unseen, reveal it gently and lead us back to humility.
Lord, may our marriage be shaped by sincere love—love that mirrors the purity of Christ’s heart and reflects the truth that You desire truth in our inward parts.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
