Put On The Full Armor Of God

Put On The Full Armor Of God – Today’s Marriage Prayer

I’m using the next month to get the next book done. In the meantime, I redid one of our older studies The Full Armor Of God. I added more content, better graphics, and thought provoking questions. I won’t be going through this one with you as I want to focus on the new study, but if you are looking for a study to work on during my break, it will keep you busy.

It’s available for free in the members only section of the blog. If you are a subscriber, you can find the link to it at the bottom of the emails you have received.

It’s also available at Amazon. Click here if you would prefer to pick up a copy.

Put On The Full Armor Of God –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

You have called us to stand firm in love, unity, and strength. As we come before You today, we humbly ask for Your guidance to clothe ourselves in the full armor given to us by Your grace, that we may face every challenge and rejoice in every joy as one.

We ask for Your help to:

  • Fasten the Belt of Truth around us, that our relationship may be founded on the unshakeable truth of Your Word.
  • Wear the Breastplate of Righteousness, that our hearts may be guarded with purity and devotion. Let our love be a reflection of Your grace, striving always to please You in our thoughts, words, and actions.
  • Have our feet ready with the Gospel of Peace, enabling us to walk together in harmony and understanding. In times of conflict, remind us of Your peace that surpasses understanding, guiding us back to a path of reconciliation and mutual support.
  • Stand fast with the Shield of Faith, with which we can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. In moments of doubt or fear, we ask that You strengthen our faith, that we may remain resilient against the trials that come our way.
  • Put on the Helmet of Salvation, protecting our minds from discouragement and despair. Remind us of the hope we have in Christ, that we may uplift one another, keeping our eyes fixed on the eternal promise of Your love and grace.
  • Hold tightly to the Sword of the Spirit that Your Holy Word may be the light unto our path, guiding our decisions, conversations, and plans. Let Your Word be ever on our lips, that we may encourage one another and grow together in wisdom and understanding.

Lord, as we put on the full armor of God, we pray that our marriage becomes a testament to Your strength and grace. Help us to stand firm together, facing the future with courage, love, and a steadfast faith in You.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God – Ephesians 6:10-17, KJV

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. – Ephesians 6:10-17, NIV
