Receiving New Mercies Each Day — Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
Your Word reminds us that Your mercies are new every morning. Today we thank You that no matter what yesterday held, today is a fresh beginning.
Help us live in that truth.
When we carry over frustrations or disappointments from the day before, gently remind us to release them. Teach us not to let yesterday’s struggles shape today’s responses. Give us grace to begin again—with softer hearts and steadier patience.
Lord, let Your mercy toward us shape the way we treat one another. As You have been patient with us, help us extend that same patience. As You have been faithful to us, help us remain faithful in our love.
When we wake to a new day, help us choose kindness again. Help us speak gently again. Help us forgive again. Let each morning be an opportunity to reset our hearts before You and before each other.
Father, keep our marriage from becoming weighed down by past mistakes. Instead, let it be renewed daily by Your grace. May Your faithfulness steady us, and may Your mercy give us strength to keep moving forward together.
Thank You that we are never beyond the reach of Your renewing work.
