Serving One Another in Love - Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
Sometimes love looks like doing the dishes without being asked. Sometimes it’s staying quiet when we want to argue, or offering a kind word even when we’re tired. These little things don’t always feel like much—but they matter. They’re love in motion.
Help us to serve each other with joy, not out of duty, but from a heart that delights in giving. Teach us to see those daily tasks not as chores, but as quiet opportunities to say, “I care about you. I’ve got your back.”
Remind us that marriage isn’t about keeping score—it’s about showing up for each other, again and again, in big ways and small ones.
And when we feel overlooked or worn out, fill our hearts with Your strength and Your perspective. Because we’re not just serving each other—we’re honoring You in the process.
Let our home be filled with the kind of love that shows up in the everyday.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
