Shaped by Grace - Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
Your Word says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” That’s true in marriage more than anywhere else. Day by day, through every joy and every challenge, You are using this covenant to shape us into who You’ve called us to be.
Sometimes the sharpening is gentle—encouragement that lifts us up. Other times it’s uncomfortable—conviction that pushes us to grow. But in both, Your grace is at work, teaching us patience, humility, forgiveness, and love.
Remind us that marriage isn’t only about our comfort, but about our character. Help us welcome the refining process, knowing it draws us closer to You and to each other. And may our union be a living example of what it means to be shaped by grace.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
